I am grateful for all of my family, the many blessings afforded me by God, and the strength and motivation to strive to become a better husband and father everyday.
Much to be thankful for this year. Oldest graduated college. Middle daughter graduated high school. And our son in law ish became our son in law officially.
You have a lot to celebrate ..... Congratulations on parenting done well!

I've come to believe that gratitude is expressed through action. I do more, then I get more. Thank you so much for your seemingly endless cheerfulness and positivity - you are a breath of fresh air.
Grateful as always for family, friends and health. Also greatful that 2018 is ending in just a couple weeks as this year wasn’t the best for me in a lot of ways. Here’s to 2019 and new beginnings.
Please don't enter me in the drawing, but I wanted to say thank you. The inspirational quotes, fish photos, and all of the comments have been a wonderful way to start the day!
And now I get why everyone seems so enamored with Paradisefound...!
Let's embrace the new year with a grateful heart
I feel your pain my friend ...... my 2017 was not very good either followed by loosing my Dad in 2018 so I am looking forward to the new 2019 with you

I am very Grateful to the GREAT SPIRIT and the skilled Physicians that got me out of the hospital and back home
for CHRISTMAS after a month in the hospital, after an ischemic stroke and still having good functionality of myself...body mind and spirit. with some continuing Re- hab for a bit.Quite an eye opener at 57 and pretty good health even after those
1970's and not seeing a Doc since i was 20,,, feeling blessed and Grateful for sure......as i have never felt before given the
circumstance and my huge aversion to docs and hospital stuff, and my mom was a surgical RN for 30yrs.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!!!Always BE Grateful give Thanks and count your Blessings( for they are many)
Onward to a wonderful 2019 for everybody!!!!!
I'm not posting this to win, but I am posting because I think it is a good idea to stop and reflect, sometimes, on what one is thankful for.
Every time I think that things are hard, sad, depressing, etc, I try to stop and think about things that I have/had that I am thankful for.
I am thankful that, even though I lost my mother last year, I had that strong woman in my life like I did. Much of the time where she was doing it all on her own for us, with no father in the picture, as she worked long and hard hours and made sure we never wanted for food.
I am thankful I have a house over my head and had the jobs I did, over the years, that enabled me to enjoy this hobby I "rediscovered" some 16 years ago.
I am thankful I have met some great people on the forums here, and some in person, as they are a bright light for me when I come on the forum and see a lot of the whining, attempts at humor-that aren't, etc, and make it worth coming back. Same for PCGS being here as I am thankful for what they have done for the hobby, as what drove me out as a kid was getting ripped off with raw coins and not as much knowledge as the dealers...and nowhere to learn it where I was, and for the forum they provide.
I am thankful for my pets. They only judge me if I am late getting them fed, or not petting them (cats) enough. They are always there for me.
I am thankful I spent the time I did in the Army, as it showed me I could do things I don't think I ever thought I could, or maybe things I couldn't have done if I hadn't been shaped by the Army the way I was. I learned a lot about not quitting and for standing up for myself and others.
I am thankful for a particular job I held that enabled me to travel to a handful of countries outside of North America, so see other cultures and learn more about other people. To expand my horizons (although, I don't eat the foods as I am a pretty bland eater).
And, right up there, I am thankful for my family and our health. We may have some things hitting us at times (being sick, being hurt, being stressed, etc), but overall, we realize there are so many in the world that have it worse and, when we do some volunteer work, we especially see that and do get thankful for what we have.
I started to contemplate the many things that I am thankful for, just like @Bochiman above, but couldn't choose one. My list would be pretty much identical to his except for the military service. I didn't provide this for my country but have a deep and sincere appreciation for those who did and do.
I'd add one more item to this list. I am grateful for @Paradisefound 's generosity and positive attitude and the effect that it has had on the members of the group. Her posts brighten the days for many of us and cause us to be a little kinder to those with whom we interact. Even the crankiest members here can't help but be affected in a positive way.
Of course this appreciation extends to all of the other members who contribute in various positive ways to make this board the valuable resource that it is.
Collector and dealer in obsolete currency. Always buying all obsolete bank notes and scrip.
I am very excited for all of us. Thanks PF.
I was just remembering when my girl friend met me in Hawaii for an R&R in 1971. We had a really good dinner at a romantic restaurant called Arthur's. Red leather love seat, attentive staff, great food. I wonder if it's still there? Thankful for memories not blurred by PTSD. Peace Roy
Suffice it to say Paradise Found and Mango are thanked from the deepest part of my heart. This is something I know everyone here at "The Boards" will echo. I say it for all of you.
What a special place this is............and what a special person Paradise Found is!
