Indian Cent Varieties from my Personal Collection

Last week I posted several errors from my Indian cent collection, so this week I thought I'd post some of the Indian cent varieties I've collected over the years. I'm not trying to collect all the varieties, just the ones I think have that "coolness" factor, and if they happen to have pretty toning, even better!
S2a 1873 Close 3, Doubled die obverse. Perhaps as many as 100 of the S2 (all die pairs) exist in all grades. Coins that fall below Very Fine or Fine grades may not be obviously attributable. {65RD, 65RB, 64RB,64RB}
S1a 1908-S, S/S (s). The only true repunched mint mark for the year. Many come on streaky planchets due to improperly mixed alloy. Too much tin and zinc will cause the alloy to lighten. These pockets of increased alloy will get elongated when the metal is rolled out. This is quite scarce and is very difficult in high grades.
1 in denticles, Shallow N Reverse.
S1 1897, 1 in the neck. It was assumed early on that this variety would be found in high grades due to the general availability
of this date. It is very surprising that only a few MS examples have come to light and none in gem full red condition.
S1 1886 Type 1, 6/6 (s)
S1 1883, 1 in neck. This is a very bold misplaced digit variety. A few of the high grade examples known come with vivid purple
toning. This is usually seen on proofs which were stored for many years in sulphur-laden tissue or envelopes. Perhaps the purple toned examples of this variety also were stored for many years in a similar way. Aside from the few high grade specimens known, this variety is quite scarce.
