A very early photo of infant Zerbe at the beginning of an illustrious career.
Notice that he has already manged to swipe his mother's thumb. (She was trying to make the Vulcan sign of greeting, but did not know what to do given her missing digit.)

It's not a joke. It is from a coin site. I don't know the answers to your question; I admit my journalistic methods for this thread were low.
QDB, especially the older version of him, looks somewhat like my father.
