It would be nice if the mint would reconfigure them to a square 5 x 5 size so that they would fit inside a large flat rate box, but that's too much to ask.

Call that big company that starts with an A and say you are considering buying a monster box and ask how they would be shipped. Or is that a bad thing to do?

It’s already heavy, so box the monster and then put it in a larger shipping box with foam padding.

Do they actually overpack it or just slap a label on it? They probly ship enough to have their own sized carton for it.

Best way to do it is ship it directly to me.

The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.

Do not know. Never bought a monster box. Just may be a way to ask.

If you are shipping USPS registered then it has to boxed/sealed in a manner to show any tampering. So box in a shipping box with that reinforced paper tape that you have to moisten.

Probably should ask any other courier you plan on using because the value may require some specifics of the packaging for the insurance.

Here in Las Vegas, we have a box company. I use them all the time for odd shapes and heavy boxes. I'm sure most cities have such businesses. They supply merchants with boxes, padding, etc etc.
Might look on Google for a box supply company in your town. Tell them you have to mail lead samples and they are heavy as heck....provide the size box you need or ask what padding would be best.

    bob :)
Search packaging if nothing in boxes....here's ours: http://www.debarry.com/

    Registry: CC lowballs (boblindstrom), bobinvegas1989@yahoo.com

I've seen the ends break out of the monster boxes and if your shipping in cold weather I would repack and pad with heavy bubble wrap, just a word to the wise.

Strong box, really good packing material on all four sides and secure the box from shifting within...Seal all edges with good packing tape, ship registered. Cheers, RickO
