$20 1909-D St Gaudens PCGS 67 CAC in upcoming Regency Auction

I saw that a 1909-D St Gaudens PCGS 67 CAC is coming up for sale at the next Regency Auction. The coin is Ex Eliasberg/Duckor/ A &A. What stood out to me is that this coin would improve each of the top St Gauden Registry date sets. Simpson is number one and has a PCGS 66+. Puifox is number 2 and has a PCGS 65. Hansen is three and also has a PCGS 65. The fourth place collection drops to a PCGS 64. This coin last auctioned in 1/08 and sold for $218,500. Will be interesting to see what this coin goes for and who gets it.

They attempted to action the entire set but the $7,000,000 reserve was way too much. No cherry picking! Barry Stuppler over estimated the sets worth. Some great coins but some dogs too. This coin in particular is really nice.

A fantastic blu chip to any major collection especially with pedigree. I believe it will go way above the $218k realized in 2008.
For a billionaire with money this is about acquisition, bragging rights not bargain shopping.
