Does anyone know this seller sellingcoinestates ?

I asked them a question and they blocked me from bidding on their auctions. If you would like I could copy the messages and post them.

no, but..
as soon as I see 'estates' in the seller's name--
I RUN!

Sure, post the messages.
I presume they are on eBay?

I am trying to buy a coin I will wait to see if they respond.
Yes they are on ebay
100% agree. In fly-by-night auctions and miscellaneous sales, "estate" is one of the biggest red flags you will ever get. Pay attention to it, it is a warning!

It will not allow me to access the messages. Myself, like others, RUN whenever I see the word estate.
I bought a great coin from them.
Very professional.
They have a great coin I would like to buy. But I guess a question about them covering up cert numbers gets you banned from bidding on their coins.
@ErrorsOnCoins maybe you could send them a message alerting them to this thread.
We will not be able to view a message in your account.
Sorry, nope. Between you and them.
No prob.
Whats their ebay name? Or maybe you should not put their name for every one to see. Might be against rules?
This is what I get when I click on your link;
" Sorry! There has been an error retrieving your message from the server."
I would say that if a seller blocks you because you asked a question, he did you a favor.
He should be thankful as it would give anyone access to his account!!!!
That is their name: https://ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=&_in_kw=1&_ex_kw=&_sacat=0&_udlo=&_udhi=&_ftrt=901&_ftrv=1&_sabdlo=&_sabdhi=&_samilow=&_samihi=&_sadis=15&_stpos=52001-0763&_sargn=-1%26saslc%3D1&_salic=1&_fss=1&_fsradio=%26LH_SpecificSeller%3D1&_saslop=1&_sasl=sellingcoinestates&_sop=1&_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_fosrp=1
Thank you Vanhalen .
I bought a couple of 3rd generation ngc holders from them today.
So, I see a couple of things.....
1) I would NEVER trust any account that seems to sell "estate" sales. I may not avoid them, but I would go into it not trusting them.
2) Search back on enough threads here and you will find reasons that even forum members will block people...more than a few said they would block for any question as they don't want a possible issue. I think that is pretty stupid, but, hey, people will block others for anything....especially if they want to take advantage of people
3) Your link goes to YOUR account. If you want us to access it, please post your login ID and password....thank you
Now, go back and read #2 again....there are plenty of sellers here that are great sellers but there is still a good number that will block people for any reason, such as a legit return or even asking a question.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
Thank you for the reply’s. Was not trying to give access to my account just wanted to show the messages. I just thought it was rude to block me for asking a question.
One should not be blocked for asking a question (If question is valid and posed in a civil manner)... so, if that was the case, you are likely better off not dealing with the seller. Imagine if you were dissatisfied with the purchase....Cheers, RickO
I agree with the above posters. They are rude to block for a simple question(if that's all it was) and don't deserve your business anyway.

I think he was kidding.
I hope

Without knowing the question, no one can really provide any feedback about your exact scenario. Many seemingly simple questions can be potential red flags to sellers: detailed return policy questions, questioning the assigned grade, or questions that make you seem particularly demanding. You may be the most easy-going, accommodating buyer in the world, but if your question makes you seem difficult, a seller may definitely block you.
same here (its a good thing to)
Hey, You all bashing a great seller because of their name. You lose because of a name.
The seller in question sells very nice coins. Your loss for not considering them by a name.
I haven't heard anyone bash anyone. Just stating their opinion! Snowflake out much? It seems like you have skin in the game!
I thought it was really poor to ban me and that is why I posted. The coin I wanted is gone and I am moving on. I will not be looking at any of their other auctions. A great seller would of had my money for their coin. I would not consider them a great seller. I do have skin in the game!
ah, what is your ebay handle .... ?
How about if you see “my grandpas coins I know nothing about”?
Copied and pasted in order exactly how it went down. After my last message I could not buy or communicate with them. Later I found out I could go back to my original message and send a communication thru it. I was to late the coin sold. I may not be the sweetest talker but thought it was very poor to ban me over these 2 messages. I was prepared to spend some good money with them. The coins sold so I guess they did not loose much. But they did loose me as a potential buyer! Even though EOC says their GREAT!
New message to: sellingcoinestates
Why do you cover the certification numbers? I always look coins up before purchasing. I will not purchase a coin with out knowing the cert #!
sellingcoinestates:
If the certification numbers check out are you going to buy it?
New message to: sellingcoinestates
Possibly. The first thing I do with any pcgs certified coin is check the cert. Lots of good info. Sometimes not so much.
Hard to check when it is covered.
Pretty bizarre behavior on the sellers part. As others have said.....RUN.
Dave
It looks like most of his listings show a cert number now, for what it's worth.
It wasn't even that big of a deal. I actually thought I might be helping them because I am probably not the only one who checks certs before buying. Getting banned is what threw me for a loop.
Actually, no, it isn't "our" or "my" loss. It's theirs. As a seller, one would want all the buyers one could get. As a buyer, I really don't lose. Maybe miss out on a deal, but I can bet there is very little that they sell, at a price I would pay, that I would miss or couldn't get from another seller.
It really isn't a "seller's market" right now.
Also, just above, the OP puts the exchange with them in "writing". While I could see a short tempered person being annoyed, the fact that they blocked him for that, and the fact that they put "if it checks out, will you buy it?" in there, leads me more to avoiding them for that crap than even the name would.
I have been in sales before, I know qualifying questions and how to steer someone to what YOU want.....I disagree with it in many cases like this. Pushy seller who doesn't want to answer or be bothered.
To the OP.....MANY sellers used to hide the cert numbers due to registry thefts (people wanting to steal the number and put it in the registry for themselves....PITA). People also did/do it because of counterfeiters.
Most of the time, nowadays, however, that has all gone by the wayside. They could have easily answered you.

Welcome to Oscar the Grouch Coins. "You gonna buy that coin or not?!?!"
the same:
delete it.
Grandpa was an wrong to leave his coins to an idiot.
BHNC #203
its all bogus. will dispose of it for you
LOL "if the certs check out are you going to buy it?"
What on earth, why is he holding the cert numbers ransom. I wonder if it shows previous sales prices or something and he wants to hide his profit margin.
They don't want you to see what they just paid for their coins on HA or GC.
Isn't it required by ebay to provide the cert number?
