Fort Collins Coin Club Christmas party report - Friday, December 14

claychaserclaychaser Posts: 4,406 ✭✭✭✭

The Fort Collins Coin Club hosts an annual member and family Christmas party every year at the local VFW. As normal, the club caters in a nice meal, and this year, it was Café Rio Mexican food. Very tasty, and all of the 50+ people who attended seemed to enjoy it, myself included. We also had use of the VFW bar, so I enjoyed a shot of Wild Turkey before dinner.

After dinner, the business of the night ensued - BINGO! For coin prizes of course. The first item up was a 2019 Mega Red book, then followed by some silver bullion type prizes, two coin feeding "fingers" generously donated by Dan C. from the Moonlight Mint, and followed by the grand prize - the 1/10 ounce gold Mercury Dime. Mrs. claychaser was only one space off from winning that one!

Just a nice dinner, lots of coin stories, and some Bingo fun to wrap it up.

If anyone is in the area, our normal club meeting is at 6:30 on the 1st Friday of every month, and the VFW will be our new regular meeting spot. Details are on our website - www.fortcollinscoinclub.com

End of my very short report.

Thank you for the report.... Nice prizes and the dinner sounds great... Here in the mountains of the east, I have been fortunate (after many years living in the Southwest) to find an very good Mexican restaurant...all their food is great, however, the Green Chile is the best I have ever had...That includes Texas, Arizona, California and Mexico. Cheers, RickO
