I'm finding that I'm doing something different from how I used to do.
Now, I'm keeping the ..."value"...(??) steady and selling stuff I have lost my attraction for when I want to buy something new.
Did that in the shop. Kept my bullion position "flat" at all times.
Makes for more comfort and less stress. Coins became stressful a couple years ago for me. Won't tolerate that.
Or.... if I sell .... then I go shopping.

A hobby should reduce stress and anxiety. Sounds like you've found a comfortable position.
Is it a hobby if it is stressful? I would say it depends on the stressor.
If your hobby is sky diving then jumping out of the plane as a choice would be stressful, but a good stress.
Now the same hobby but you had to jump out of a plane, involuntarily due to an impending crash. Bad stress.
Finding only a good stressor is near impossible so going the middle ground is the best bet. And if that cannot be found then it is probably time to reconsider the hobby.

I have no stress... at least not related to coins or other hobbies....Well.. actually, as I think about it... I really have no stress at all. Everything is going well....
That does not mean I have no problems...just that things are being addressed and managed....Of course, life is fluid, and things can change in an instant. So I will enjoy the time... Cheers, RickO

The only problem with stasis is that if you don't remove it in time, it can lead to a bad case of ennui, with the side effect of stultification.
