    Rolls and bags, too.

    $111.95 Bag of 100 (P or D)
    $32.95 Roll of 20 (P or D)

    No limits.

    Thanks @WALLE.

This is the intro coin. Interesting they're going to force it on this year's schedule. I thought they'd run out of time.

Perhaps we'll see some errors due to the short time frame. The design was still up in the air in October...

Notice how innovative this first "Innovation Dollar"is.....A true masterpiece of genius and insight.....
    :(

[PS: This was mentioned to the Mint Director in October. He acknowledged the problem but did not commit to doing anything. The 2018 dollars were already in the pipeline.]

Coin presses chugging away for the last couple months. I agree.

Littleton already has a folder for them

My strategy is about collecting what I intend to keep, not investing in what I plan to sell.

Why can’t they put the date on the obverse it looked bad with all the empty space

It was written into the bill that Congress passed.

So what are these? Purely non-circulating? They going into mint and proof sets starting in 2019? Was kinda happy with the lower prices after the pres bucks ran out.

  • RogerBRogerB Posts: 8,852 ✭✭✭✭✭

At the least, they could have replace that silly obverse motto with the date of issue. TR was certainly right!

Oddly there is a date on the mini version below -- in the right field. I kinda like the open obv but that rev is wayyy too busy!

Why is the obv background blank! That looks cheap and does nothing for lady liberty. Geezo. Peace Roy

I've seen prototypes of the 2018 coin in person. I'm pleased with the effect of the white space, the balance of the design elements, the overall visual appearance. (The final design of the obverse is modified from the sketch presented to the CCAC.) This obverse design wasn't my first choice, personally, but I like it.

The proof starts in 2018 with this coin.

So it is rolls, bags, and proof.

Wonder what/if the mint is combining with the proof. WAG. The potential “error” coin? :#

I had to hit the books.

The potash patent provided for a particular process to be performed for a potent potash. :*

Image on the Mint website has a different obverse...looks like MORE empty space or at least they evened out the empty areas

Lots of room to add your own mark/engraving... :# p

Yep, pretty much, though they're legal tender and will even be accepted by a vending machine.

Reportedly these will not be part of the standard mint/proof/silver proof sets. They will have their own product.

Might be like Ikes. Few 70's because of the huge empty field.

No joke - that is EXACTLY what I thought when I saw the design. Modern counterstampers have an excellent canvas to work with.

Why are there TWO sets of initials on the obverse? And so prominent at that, those easily could have been hidden in the statues drapery.

Spoke with Dansco a couple days ago in regards to when they will have a album for these, they said at least a year. I guess 2x2's will have to do until then.
