Can’t get there by car. Boat or plane. Probably chilling on the beach @Paradisefound.

Came out on Monday and spent much of the week on the North Shore. My son Kenny came to help. On Monday there was huge surf and everyone was watching in awe of the wave size and the courage of the surfers attempting to ride the waves. Waimea Canyon and falls was closed due to a sand dam that blocked the river from entering the ocean. We watched them open the dam to empty the flooded river. It quickly turned in to a rushing swirling torrent with 4 ft standing waves which the locals jumped into and surfed.

Toured most of the island and then set up yesterday. There was a good rush for a few hours and then it settled down. Today is very busy. Tomorrow I head back to AZ.

There are many mainland dealers here - Jack Beymer, Bob Campbell (who I am sharing a table with), Richard Nachbar from New York, Rarcoa, Dalton Gold and silver, and about five others. There are about 50 dealers total.

I just landed a couple of hours ago in Kauai. Which island is the show on? Until when?

As an aside to PF:Were you ever fortunate to hear Israel Kamakawiwo'Ole in person? He recorded a great version of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow".

Was a good show. Lots of pretty bobbles, and the show room was smaller, so more intimate. Good traffic fri and sat, slow Sunday, but still some good action. I enjoyed it a bunch.

@renman95, you would have liked a coupla cases.....

Here is a picture from the show:

Here I am at the Waimea River Break earlier in the week. The high surf created a dam on the river and when it was opened, the rush of the water created high standing waves that could be surfed.

Here is a YouTube video from a famous surfer who also was there (start at 7:30):
