This is not my personal grade:

I'm going to guess they "Net" straight graded it AU-53.

Natural silver MS64 with lackingless luster and some wear on the high points. Still let's roll wth AU50.

I’m going with a 45. I don’t see any pop from the images.

How can something be MS64 and AU50 at the same time?

It's that new fangled computer grading system, still working out the kinks. I think.

Left the mint ms64 or so. Thank about it. All coin leave the mint in commercial unc grades mostly. A few gems maybe. So take the unc part of it and subtract a bit for the wear and lack of lusterousness and you average XF40 to AU58. Right in the middle is AU50 but my math was poor and I meant to say AU53.

wow... I downgraded due to the lack of luster. Is the coin better "in hand"? Sometimes tilting the coin reveals luster in the devices that aren't readily apparent in a straight away picture....

It is no big deal, I thought I was making a funny joke (What about me?). I hardly ever get a guess the grade correct. :(

That explains how the two posts are superimposed. Couldn't figure that post out.

It's impossible to tell what condition the coin was in when it left the mint, and what marks and scratches were received after. Grades under mint state are by definition determined by the amount of wear, so the original condition doesn't matter. A coin that left the mint as an MS63 because of surface scratches and a coin that left the mint as an MS67, if they have the same amount of wear and no other issues, will get the same circulated grade.

Nay, nay, my green hornet. An "MS67" with light wear will quickly get the AU58 grade rather than a commerical unc with wear.

What had happened is that @Soldi has "ignored" you @Insider2. It may have been accidental or not, but he can read your post by clicking within the rectangle of your grayed out post. He can also remove the "ignore" feature by clicking on your avatar or screen name, then clicking on the little half person icon between the "Message" link and your Avatar on your profile page.

OK. I did for some reason unknown to me. I just figured it out. I like your answer. Do you think 53 is a "net grade" ?

got it thanks. I don't know why it was an ignore. Maybe I thought I knew what I was doing for once on this board LOL.
Look at my pictures not that great, using a cellphone camera and all.

Sorry Insider you are the best, Regards, Mike
