Me like! Wood grain is wonderful!

Straight from granpaw's rolltop desk. Nice.
Buff traveling through the open plains with tall grass swaying in the breeze. Nice!
I really like that wood grain Buffalo and the holder is beautiful, too!
Great early date!

WHOA !!!!!!!!!
Never seen such a colorful buff woodie -- gotta luv it!
I like the fatty Easter green labels too.
Great addition to your herd. The Buffalo's are classic beauties.
The wood grain look sure gives it character.
Nice pickup. Donato

Off the subject but while anticipating the Insight's landing I read this line from the JPL crew:
"I feel you Mars and soon I'll get to know your heart"
I thought that is a wonderful quote
Awesome your watching too!
Very nice Buffalo!! The color on the reverse is beautiful. I love those old NGC Fatty holders.
Here's a T1 and T2 in the old fatty with the gold NGC logo.
Love your new Buff. 1919 is a good year and I love the woodgrain!

It makes me imagine the Native and the Bison facing into a driving rainstorm.
I couldn't imagine how the spectrum would play out through your lenses
Nice pickup. I like it very much.

Here’s my one from my toned type set.

Old holder, neat colorful character and the cool 1919 date. Nice addition.
I would not rest my case until @BuffaloIronTail gives me his approval
My Buff in a fatty

Nice coin,,,,,, Now all you have to do is get it in the right holder
Very nice. I would call it the"Indian/Buffalo in a prairie dust storm" nickel. Is there some ever so slight lamination activity Northwest of the first 19 of the date?
Very attractive, original, and worthy Buffalo for any heard. Good taste!
Here is mine.... actually a D/D/D/S..... Cheers, RickO

Love the streaks, don't care what they call them. Love streaks in copper too. Great pickup. Thanks for sharing.

It's a real nice early date in a real cool holder. Not fully struck, but well struck for the date. The toning is subtle, but gives the coin a nice look through the wood grain streaking.
Yea, it does kinda look like Black Diamond is standing there facing a driving rain.
You did good, PF.
Pete
That's awesome! The coin, the date, the woodgrain toning, the holder... Total winner there!

I want a 38-D in 66 to match my latest Jefferson... Should be easy enough...

BTW, does the slab have the gold foil reverse? Or the hologram?

That's the messy part though ...... could you suggest what to do with this?
Unfortunately there's nothing you can do about that.
Still a sweet old holder though.
Those early holograms are incredibly delicate, virtually any sticker placed on them and they are toast!

That coin certainly does have character!
I agree with @asheland, unfortunately there is nothing you can do. Finding one of those old no line fatty NGC holders with a full and intact hologram is a bonus in of itself.
I know how much of a perfectionist you are and it will probably bother you the way it would bother me, but just try to ignore it. The only other option is to try and cross it over, but I think you like the older holder.
I have one NGC slab currently with a piece of the hologram missing. It sucks, but I just left it be, not a big deal...
