Morgan Dollar goes a bit tame

I love GC but sometimes even OGH can't save you. :D
Final price with b.p. : $75.38
And yes this is a companion thread to the crazy Mercury Dime result.
Note: this isn't my coin; it was just an interesting outlier that I noticed.

Yeah, I saw that one. Here's another one that I was watching, but missed because I had to go run some honeydo's. Oh well, can't win them all.

This one looked pretty nice for the grade too. Yet it still only brought in $87.75 with the buyers premium.

I had a nice 1893 Colombian in an old fatty MS64 that I tried for months on eBay and couldn’t get an offer even at $120 with best offer. It sold on GC tonight for $187 with BP.

Who can figure this stuff out.

Seemingly no bottom on some coins. I got beat on about 8 lots, but they were fairly soft bids.

I put up about 10 very high grade Lincolns from the mid 30's about 3 months ago, got crushed at Great Collections. Everything is too cheap. Just hold it.

If you do what you always did, you get what you always got.

I need to search for some 'like to have' coins again... with all this talk of low prices, I may be able to get some winners.... Cheers, RickO

If you’re in the Morgan market, the generic MS 65s are as low as I’ve seen them in years. Be picky and you can find a solid blast white example for $100 or less.

Sometimes fugly trumps grade. Eye appeal is probably the culprit on both of those pictured coins. Especially when there are nice examples to be had.

I'm glad you said it...I was trying to be polite but those two coins are dogs. Just my two cents...
