@Benito A free piece of advice. I think you are starting to wear thin on most people here with your posts of damaged coins. You are entitled to collect whatever you like, but don't be surprised if most here don't get why you are posting the coins you post.

I don't see a way that can happen in production. It has to be Post Mint damage unless one of the error experts can think of something.
All comments reflect the opinion of the author, even when irrefutably accurate.
If it was in a "new" roll then all the coins would be the same date, yes? If you are not sure if the date then.i assume it was a mixed roll, which supports the apparent Post Mint Damage diagnosis.
2017 cents all have a mintmark (even P) and I don't think I can make out one on this coin...
I think that the Platinum membership at PCGS, where you get access to all of their resources + you can submit 8 coins on voucher, directly, may be your best option.
I'm very glad that you have taken up the hobby, and perhaps when budget allows you can expand your collecting horizons - we have many dealers active here who offer a wide range of specialties - from errors, to cents, to gold, to $10,000.00 and above rarities.
I understand that you all very likely are right but looking at the coin in my hand I see the reverse not damage or scratches no damage to the rim the adverse is completely smooth and lokin carful appears to be possible 3 different strikes plus lots of print the date looks like is 2017 the surface is mooth like not scratches at all tankyou
It's been machined/grinded
on the obverse side. Damaged

Ditto .
Abused coin.
Nothing of note or value.
If I were you, OP, I would spend some time learning about the minting process.
With just a tiny bit of understanding that process, you can eliminate 90-95% of the types of coins you think are "errors".
I have taken this coin to coin shops near me they agree that doesn’t look like any damage suggest that I sending for grading is the cost about 50 dollars ?. Best place to send for error coin
Why is it that every newbie to coin collecting (investing) either can't spell, can't form functional sentences, can't listen to reason, don't believe what they're told, and can't be bothered to do a little research into the minting process but by gosh, they have a rarity and their local coin shop says to send it in for grading (which never happens)?
Free advice: Not a Doubled Die and definitely damaged post mint.

New Coin Roll: All the same dates
Bank Wrapped Roll: Mixed Dates
Hand Wrapped Roll: Prolly contains .49 cents along with some Canadian Cents
Brand New Unsearched Bank Wrapped Roll of 1969-S Lincolns: A put together roll regardless of how well of tightly it's wrapped. Big dealers can and often do buy coin wrapping machines.
Send your treasure in for grading Benito! It'll cost you close to $105. $65 for error coin grading, $10.00 handling fee, $21.95 return shipping fee, $7.00 intitial mailing fees, and probably $69/$149/$249 for a membership which gives you the privilege of submitting coins for grading. The grading vouchers for the Gold and Platinum Memberships won't work for Error Coins Submissions, only Standard Grading.
Yes, I'm in a mood.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
How often do you bring stuff like this in to your local coin shops? Based on their answer i strongly suspect they are playing games with you. Either that, or they are clueless about coins.
As @19Lyds said above, if you are not already a member of PCGS then membership and grading fees will run you about $175. You will get back a coin that is worth one cent. But it will be a great conversation piece.
As for those dealers that say it is an error, how much did they offer you for it? (I thought so...)

If it is indeed a true error the best place to send it would be PCGS.
As explained above, tuition will be expensive. Donato

Have you tried collecting stamps?
That coin appears to be simply damaged.

Sorry meant the ODV
2017 is my guess. I don't see any doubling and if there was it would not matter with that damage obverse.

That is a damaged obverse cent.... the copper has been removed, exposing the zinc core.... there is no doubled die on the reverse.... Cheers, RickO
