Little known fact about Abe "The Babe" Lincoln that during his 'rail splitting' days, working in such an environment, challenges would arise between the workers. Abe was known to split some rails with one swing, something that would provoke Friday afternoon challenges from the other men.
Abe the Babe would be encouraged to participate in these Friday afternoon events as others looked on betting their weekly payroll on the champ, Abraham Lincoln. Sometimes, Abe the Babe would suffer a few left hooks to the face with a resulting 'fat lip' as you can see depicter here in the example. Some would say this is damaged goods outside the professional arena and that the swelling will go down with the next example seen, Nothing unusual for this to happen outside of the ring, so spend it on a caramel apple and enjoy the show.
