One cent 2009 i am trying to figur out the ms on this one

Hey everyone, I have received good info from my previous post on the Dime. It is not the dime here that i am looking for answers. I know the dimes was discard from you but it was my fault. I am learning. Now if i get the picture, anything or almost every coins need to be higher than MS65. I think this one cent is MS65 or maybe not. I would like to ear your opinion and why if possible. Thanks in advance.

If you are thinking about having it slabbed ... forget the idea. Even with the bad photos I can tell it will be a lower MS grade. The grading game for modern coins is strictly about the plastic. It is very easy to waste a great deal of money having inferior grade MS coins slabbed. Unless you are a true grading expert this is a game you don't want to play.
To the Op what is your intent on asking questions of coins that are worth ** no more than face value **amount you can spend it.
If you think they value beyond that you are sadly mistaken.
Information is available here and others have provided links etc if your truely interested read and reread their advice and that may help you understand whatever questions you may have.
I just want to know if any of you can guide me before I send it to be grade. I look at the photos link that hemispherical sent me and it look good to me. No, I am no expert, far from it. A+ thanks to all.

In my personal experience, you NEVER really learn anything until you lose money.
Let the fellow start his real education by submitting this coin for grading!

I've lost money doing coins too, but a person tends to analyze their losses far more closely than their successes.
First sorry you lost so much. I was wondering how those coins cost $350.00 to grade? You must of sent more than 12 coins to grade or there about? What’s it cost $ 18.00 a coin now-a days to grade. Just wondering and sorry you lost that money.
Well, seem that I don't really have success in coins hobby. I have decided to drop it for a while and see if I'll get back, or pass to something else. Wishes all of you the best in your quest.

It should not be about "success" unless you are a dealer. It should be about having fun.
You seem to be caught up in the grading game. Virtually all business strike modern coins are not worth getting graded. That is true for all of us. That does not mean you can't or shouldn't collect coins.
Don’t give up. Continue to collect coins for the fun and remember it is a hobby.
You usually do not make money on hobbies but for the pure pleasure of it. It is the same as taking “T-Rex” and hitting the trails. You sure do not do that to make money.

I though the Lincoln in question was at least gonna be one of the DDR varieties from that issue...I had a crapload of different types attributed and they now sit in multiple boxes of 20....I thought they were VERY interesting and a fun search

Definitely not a coin to submit for grading... unless you just want an official opinion. It takes a while, and looking at many coins to become skilled at grading. Do not get discouraged... take your time, use resources on the net and buy some books regarding coin series that interest you. That is a great Jeep there...Cheers, RickO
one has to research things before they dive in, buy coin books and read about all types of coins online, learn how to grade and understand not all coins you find are going to be high grade

I think it was 11 or 12 coins with the first 4 free for joining but, its more like $32 per coin plus packing & shipping. My numbers are probably off but not by much.

That would be in the cost of shipping....the cost of grading per coin is $16.
True for grading costs. But as the value of the coin(s) go up the more for insurance. I personally keep the two as separate expenses.
