    I remember when I lived there that a little snow literally shut the whole city down. It was interesting to watch people attempt to drive on ice though - actually mashing the accelerator when they hit the ice patches.

    I snowed here this morning.... just a bit, now the sun is shining. I did see it snow in Houston when I lived there... just once... @morgansforever... That is an amazing Washington Quarter, has super detail for a modern coin... Cheers, RickO

    We see snow most years atop Haleakala (10,000 feet). I point to it "yup, that's snow". It usually causes a traffic jam to drive up and see it. There is skiing on Mauna Kea (13,800 feet) on the Big Island every year. And of course snow on Mauna Loa too but no skying. Mauna Kea has the road to the many observatories for access. Ski in the morning, surf in the afternoon.

    We had about 10min of snow flurries during 1966 at Twenty-nine Palms MCB in CA. The base is in the desert!

    I was stationed in San Antonio at Kelly Air Force Base from 1984 - 1986. We had a pretty good snowfall, at least 2 or 3 inches. the base had no snow clearing equipment so the base commander sent out road graders to clear the snow. There used to be these cat eye reflectors on the center lines of all the roads which helped you see that center line in the dark. The blades were set really low and they popped every one of them out and they all ended up in a big snow pile at one end of the base. Was the strangest sight at night before it all melted when the headlights hit the pile and you had hundreds of cat eyes looking back at you.

    Be careful if it does snow and stick since Texans drive as well in the snow as they pay attention to flood signs on closed roads.

    I used to live in Fenton, MI but moved to NC when I retired. I do not miss my snow shovel and snow blower at all. I do have a little salt in case we get an ice storm.

    Once in a while we get a couple of inches here that lasts a day or two. I roar with laughter watching the locals try to drive in snow. I'm smart enough to stay off the roads when those idiots are out there.

    We drove from Austin to Houston and back on Tuesday, and encountered flurries followed by freezing rain between Brenham and Prairie View.

    I was in San Antonio in 1998, and had a nice conversation with a Texan native who told me she had witnessed snow once. It may have been the storm you're talking about.

    She told me it was fun until they discovered it was cold and wet. Then it wasn't fun, nor pretty anymore.

    I paid $1,500 raw in 2x2. The spot @ 6 on Rev scared shot out of me. I smelled a PCGS BB in my future. To my surpise it MS64ed at PC.
