Early 1800's farm ground in NJ, enjoy!

Sun was out, no wind, I hit a yard between an old house and a few barns. Always nice to pop a crotal bell with pea inside at 6". Gold plated wedding band sang out at 5" . That heavy cast piece is probably from an old coal stove. Pewter spoon has a subtle design, stem was not in the area. Ground was real nice, brown soil, like cutting a warm brownie with a butter knife. The hunt continues. Peace Roy

Try and get your hands on turn of the century fire insurance maps of your hometown. 1900 was the times of these wooden structure surveys so insurance companies knew what would burn. Good way to locate the grounds of buildings long gone. Peace Roy
