I'm getting downright CHEAPSKATE .....

...with my new found interest in COMMEMS !!!
I'm getting only ones whose DESIGNS I like sooooooo......today I even ordered a 50 for the ..design.. of a Pan Pac half.
I just ain't gonna spend eight grand to get a near poifeck one.
And last week I got a Gettysburg in .... 62 !!
however..... I can't see a big difference from a 63-65 on that one.
Now.... pick on me. C'mon I dare ya.

They both look nice to me.
I'm not going to pick on ya!
You might be right in doing so, as a collector satiating his coin need. I know dealers plural that can't move PanPac's in MS 65 and up. Maybe it's the price barrier for the number they see out there. Whatever. They tell me this is the case many times with certain coins. Could be just as they see it, because I really love that design
Coinfacts is quite illuminating on comparing auction records with price "guides" on the lower graded Pan Pacs.
The look not the number matters to me. Those are nice.
Both are nice coins.... Buy what you like, enjoy what you have....
Cheers, RickO
Those are both great. I would like to have either one. You did good.
Just as Q. David mentions buying commems. Buy the nicest piece at the price before the big jump. And be picky - there are a few out there, so be patient. I usually only go as low as 58, but if a 50, or 45 is nice, go for it.
I just got the $1 PanPac and love it! Nice pickups! I want a half dollar one now.

Somewhere in the vault I have a Long Island in MS61 in an old green holder. As I recall, no toning, and looked better than a 61.
