Here is the update to my toned Indian set, after receiving three coins back from PCGS that were crossed from NGC. Those three are posted below the group shots. Enjoy!

    I've been working on it for probably 4-5 years. The 1929 was the first one I bought. It was raw off ebay, and the pictures were bad, so you could not even tell it was toned. After I saw it in hand, I was hooked. I literally have looked for toned Indians every day since, lol. Whenever I find a better one, I replace them. The 1911-D is the only one so far with pretty much no color, and I imagine I will just have to stick with that one.

    That's really nice. I owned a 1927 at one time (I got a pic around here somewhere) that looked similar to your 1908 or 1911. They are nice to look at.

    Any info on how you think they got that way?

    There are many theories, both natural and artificial, lol. Thankfully every one of these is graded by NGC or PCGS.
