1961 Franklin BUGS BUNNY woes

The first two pics of the same coin, PCGS attributed as Bugs about 10 weeks ago:

The next two pics are of a coin the attributors state "not enough there" just last week. I sure wish there could be more CONSISTENCY regarding variety attributions!

Thoughts?

To be honest I've never been a fan of "Bugs Bunny" Franklins, do they carry any sort of premium or just a neat extra?

With all due respect, I am not seeing anything significant in any if them. :/

The 1961 Bugs has subtle minor lip distortion, nothing like the 1955.

    Edit: forgot pics

I don’t see anything to any of them. You may have been lucky to go 2 for 4.

Some of the BB's are neat and show easy like the 1955. And some like these ………. not so much.

I own an example of this coin, purchased from @georgiacop50.
He is extremely knowledgeable on the subject. Here are pictures of mine, from the same group that Georgia owns. His pictures do not catch the light like I was finally able to do

I can see where the sharpness on the upper lip was polished heavily. It feels at times when dealing with varieties, the hunters must recognize “observable reality” AND recognize features on the coin that indicate die repairs or polishing to hide defects.

Here's a much better clash IMO-It's called the "Lone Ranger" clash.

Check the (viewer’s) lower left tail feathers of the Eagle. This is the reverse reciprocal area of the obverse BB and may show some raised metal from the clash. The 1961-P is a tough BB to hunt and capture. Good luck.

I just scooped that one up off eBay. Pcgs Ms64fbl 1961. I hope it is a B.B.

Found it! Note the heavy die polishing around the Eagle & Bell.

Sorry OT, but I have to ask what are you all using to get these dynamic closeups with photographs?

I personally use a simple hand held magnifer and a 7x loupe but have never attempted to get this close to a coin for a photo.

I use a 10x loupe over the lense on my cell phone, or my phone through a 30x binocular microscope

So I see the fuhrer moustache on Ben's upper lip. Is this md or a die gouge or what? Now I have to go thru lots of Franklin's to look for this error. The hunt continues. Peace Roy

Thank you @Aspie_Rocco, I will attempt with my Hastings BL and see how it goes.

I have seen some (55's) that are quite prominent...these are hard to see (great pictures though)...I should look over my Franklin album and others that I have accumulated. Cheers, RickO
