AU55 and AU58 coins can represent great value for collectors on a budget since they frequently have better eye appeal than low end MS coins that are a lot more expensive.

I do agree however, that sometimes a 55 or 58 has much better eye appeal than many 61 or 62's in a given series.

DDR---That's a very nice chopped trade dollar.
I remember many years ago in the pre-slab era when chopped trade dollars traded at a significant discount because chop marks were considered to be damage. Times sure have changed.
