What metal is this 1944 wheat

I have compiled all of my 1944 wheat pennies together as a visual reference and comparisons. None of wgich resembles 1944 wheat at very bottom. No scale so unfortunately no weight. Any ideas?

Looks like a normal wheat cent... just a more 'polished' surface...Not saying it was polished, just from commerce.... It would be good if you can weigh it though, and check it against the standard cent weight. Cheers, RickO

Seeing that steel cents were not the answer to the copper shortage the mint turned to what they had in abundance in 1944.
Spent shell caseings. Their use made for some inconstant blanks so you’ll find a few different colors among your 1944’s.
