Suggestions for a new collection??

I received this box as part of a recent trade. It is pretty nice and as you can see it is designed to hold the Presidential dollar series. While I have very little interest in the Presidential Dollar series, I think that it would be neat to put something coin related inside.

Here is my question, the Presidential dollar is approximately 27mm in diameter, what other coin or medal or bullion, would be a good substitute to put in the slots instead?

$10 gold eagles should fit nicely.

It is a nice box. I think the coins that were sold to go in it were in a plastic capsule, so any coins that fit into the small dollar size capsule will work, but the box says "Presidential Coin Collection" so President Dollars make the most sense to me. Like everything in collecting as long as you like the collection that's all that matters.

It makes me dream of my goal of one day owning a complete Franklin Mint Presidential Coin Game series from 1968 made by Shell Oil. B)

A Susan B. Anthony Dollar (26.5 mm) set in P01-FR02 would looking amazing displayed in that box!

My current coin collecting interests are: (1) British coins 1838-1970 in XF-AU-UNC, (2) silver type coins in XF-AU with that classic medium gray coloration and exceptional eye appeal.

CoinFacts does not show any 01 or 02 coin; 03 is the lowest grade shown

Why not put a few Presidential dollars in it, then give it to an interested YN to complete. Could create an avid collector who will branch out into other areas. Cheers, RickO

Which? The bronze or aluminum? >:)

Found in "one of" my junk boxes. No idea why I kept it. I ...did... win the fifty bucker once though. :D

Maybe a year type Washington quarter set in air tite's. If I counted correctly- should be '32-71? That would be impressive, cool, and affordable.

With a big enough hammer, anything fits.

I have a YN in mind for the project.

There are many foreign coins that measure 27mm.
