**OWoooooo**..... I did it. Said I would never, but did....

I actually browsed to a neat coin and did the unthinkable (for me) I actually ...ASKED... if he had sent it to ...well, you know
He said, "I did not."
Arrrghhh... " I did not" He's a good guy I've done bizz with ...but... now I'm constipated.
conflagrated?
stupefied?
Anyhow.... I may or may not get it.
It is in the price range where becomes what I consider relevant. TOO relevant in my opinion, but there you have it.
or....don't have it.
Oh me oh my.
Back in the days before I would have just happily sent off for it.
But bit me in the butt (potentially) and it is now a factor, for better or for worse.
Everyone LOVES an awful lot, but I ...know... that they miss stuff.
They say they'll correct oversight if the can be proven (which it can) but I'm not ready to shake up a finest known.
(yet)
Oh well. Something to think about all weekend.
I liked coins before came along and introduced so much uncertainty.
snif.

Is this your way of asking the mods for a CAC emoji?

Looks like it was written by a Millenial.
I did not could mean someone else did. Maybe do you know if it has been "there". Sensative subject.
Nope. Isn't on Twitter.
.........................Proof positive.
Know how to perform a lobotomy on a millennial?
It's not necessary.

Dear Toppy,
I don't understand your rambling
...or a root canal.
I'm lost.
Lance.
Buy the coin NOT the sticker!

But I don't think it's a priority for Him.
Ahhh, alcohol and posting. Yup.

To the contrary I'm convinced that CAC increases certainty. Perhaps the uncertainty comes from within. Sometimes it's good to question one's opinion, many times it's part of the learning process.
I'm so glad that there are no dumb stickers for exonumia, which has been my main focus for some years now. In fact, tokens and medals are just starting to catch on with the slabbing game.

I'm stupefied.
I knew it would happen.

Well now... the ultimate dilemma... should I or shouldn't I?? When that happens, I just move on...A couple of times, I have regretted it, but that passes quickly. And that icon always reminds me of constipation.... well, in a way, you are having a decision constipation...
Cheers, RickO
Bling sells. Dip it good.

Remember that phrase, Roy. You're gonna need to say it to the "value" of whatever unbeaned coin you have that you might decide to sell. If you never sell, well then...... que sera, sera.
Yup. I was so drunk that I hallucinated that it was a GOOD thing to believe one man's opinion to such an extent that we are ...actually.... dismissing as ...what?... "incompetent" ??? the opinions of companies FULL of experts and exhaustively market tested and considered CORRECT up until an upstart (but brilliant) guy comes along and offers to tell you "how MUCH" of an XF you own.
It's ludicrous. It's in the bloodstream now so it's spreading. but what...other than testimonials by OTHER opinions...is the difference between the green bean and a ...oh...BLUE bean from Littleton?

So far, everything I have sent in for stickers has come back with stickers. The only reason I send coins in to CAC is because there are people that will pay much more for them than the cost of a sticker and postage. I know how to buy good coins for the grade or under graded coins in plastic. And about 15% of the stickers are gold, which is just that on the market.
My experience has been just the opposite. I have sent in coins that looked good to me and GREAT to a friend who was a PCGS grader.
Very meager results.
Now we could BOTH be complete dolts (since I am an EX-dealer and he is a PRESENT one) but I doubt it.
I know that they don't catch everything. LIke a coin with an eraser taken to part of it.
My most disappointing reject had the merest portion of it "called" for ....cleaning.
Maybe I should buy all my coins from you.
Well, so much for my opinion.
The fact is that I am not buying ANY coin (over $300) that does NOT have a sticker.
PLUS.... I have ...already... "dumped" the coins I had that weren't blessed. So now it's someone else's concern.
I am full of the Kool-Aid now and will not fight a trend.
The money I have been spending on coins will go elsewhere. (That's a few grand a month)
Great for the hobby.
Good luck to all.
I said all of the ones that I have sent in. Not all of the coins I have. I only send in the ones I feel should have no problem getting green and hope for gold. My last batch was 12 coins - 10 green, 2 gold. I have a 1923 Monroe in a PCGS slab marked as having surface work done on it. I have two dealers that told me that if I had brought it raw to them they would have offered me 66 bid. Since the whole coin wasn't worked, it is easy to miss. But when you know something has been done to it, it is fairly easy to see where it was played with. I would have missed it too.
I am not saying I am a coin whiz, just that I play the game with what will net me the most money on certain things. I don't assume that if a coin doesn't have a CAC sticker that it has been rejected by them.
No insult on your content intended whatsoever. It was the style/ format that led me to my conclusion, right or wrong.
I buy what I like, have always done so and hope to continue. Whether entombing a coin or verifying that entombment is necessary is entirely my decision - usually made for pecuniary reasons.
