My latest pickup - 1929 Standing Liberty Quarter

Here is my latest pickup. A 1929 Standing Liberty Quarter.
I definitely have a lot of appreciation for those that do such a great job photographing their coins. I stink at it right now, but hope to get better with practice. Let me know what you think.
Thanks for looking.

Very nice looking coin, always been one of my top 3 or 5 favorite US coins. Been trying to fight off the urge to dive into this series....might go after a set in AU58ish. FH definitely the way to go!
I gotta say the luster on that SLQ looks to be way above average for a 64 so you should have no complaints there. Second thought maybe you will
.
I find your new pick up very attractive.
Congratulations
Nice coin.
Your pictures aren't that bad.
They show the general qualities of the coin.
Very nice coin!

That is a very nice SLQ... and indeed, appears better than a 64.... nice picture as well. Cheers, RickO
I think the reverse photo is very good @Donato

Great coin. Don’t worry about the pictures we can see. If you do take pictures and want to get rid of shadow and reflection just get lighting above picture and diffuse it with tissue paper or other over lamp. Glad you shared. Great coin for the grade.
Best place to buy !

Is that a clashed dies variety where the "E" from E Pluribus Unum" appears to the (viewers) left of the right knee?
Nice coin nevertheless!

Very nice looking SLQ! Congrats on the new purchase.
@oih82w8 Here is a scan with a close-up of the knee. I used a scanner as I could not get a close-up that looked that good with my phone. It does look a bit like the "E" you are referring to from "E Pluribus Unum". What do you think?

Are you comfortable with the 64 grade? What do you see that might indicate this not being a MS65?
Louis Armstrong
This date is always special to me ‘cause it’s my dad’s birth year. Nice coin!
I was originally looking for a 1929 SLQ in an MS65, but chose to buy this one after looking at a few MS65's and thought this one looked better. This is a case of me buying the coin and not the holder.

Well, isn't that interesting. This coin is special to me also and it is why I bought it. My dad was born in 1929 and he's been gone for almost 20 years and this will remind me of him every time I look at it.

That's a great looking coin!
The pics are more than acceptable as well.
Nice looking coin and that is an E clashed by the leg. It is pretty common and shows in most/all type 2s but there are only a few years where the variety is attributable. 29-S I believe is the closest and I also believe 1920.
Very nice looking quarter.
No added value, but neat all the same!

Nice win, congrats! That is the "E" from the reverse and you can see a little of the "M" from America, also. There are some where you can see the "us" from Pluribus.
Great pick up! And interesting thread with helpful information. The errant letters is an exciting thing to learn of.
My Stepdad was also born in 1929. He was a Seminole, so a 29 Buff is on my wishlist.

By comparison this 1928 FH in MS63 seemed a little cheap: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1928-STANDING-LIBERTY-QUARTER-PCGS-MS-63FH-1630-/153232344324?hash=item23ad5c0504:g:HPIAAOSwCMVb0d5O&nma=true&si=YqA9BYL65H%2FIE4cL0VpbEv%2BSiXQ%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
Gold shield, so probably submitted express hoping for a higher grade.
Congrats Donato! I like the eye appeal as well as her FH
I think she is a +

Right but it says, "my latest pickup". I would wager it is not!
