Submission Timing

It seems as though I always submit right before some big show and all the graders take off. It never fails, this time ANA. How many shows a year to the graders go to? Its too many.

I never considered this when planning submissions before. Is this still relevant?

I've noticed a 'frustrating' turn around time when the big shows are going on. Graders out trying to drum up business I suppose. Just another tick we have to live with. :)

It's not really "drumming up business". The marketing people are separate from the graders. They do walk-through grading at the big shows.

He's probably just using the photo as a logo.

He was last logged on in 2013 according to his profile. He was a hunter of registry-quality moderns, not someone I would expect would get banned.

Interesting. Of course, if we didn't notice he's been missing for 5 years...

I think we need a graveyard page... :D Then we could check on all departed members - be they banned, or not posted for two years (arbitrary period)....Then if they returned, active status restored....Just a convenient page to check member status when looking for someone. Maybe not... ;) Cheers, RickO

Fear the Walking Thread.... Once it bites you, you have no chance.

I’m guessing @Aspie_Rocco accidentally went to the last page on the forum and started replying to the threads as if they were all new.

Yeah, lol, I was just looking for “fresh” topics poking through page 5,000 something last night.
They even said in that Monte Python movie
“Bring out your thread... bring out your thread”

I apologize for bringing up old threads everyone! I never saw a rule against this activity. I was not trolling.
I was honestly getting tired of the multiple member popularity and related threads clogging the front page. I respect all the members here and I am happy they are back. Multiple threads were locked for similar topics and more kept coming up. So I looked in the past and brought out old chestnuts. I AM SORRY. PLEASE STOP MAKING COMPLAINTS about me to moderators! I will try to learn and write down all the unwritten rules some of you folks have.

I was going to say that there are no rules against it and if there is an old gem that can be dusted off and replayed, why not? But complaints?? :/ Maybe I need the list of unwritten rules, also.

How many times do people advise posters to use the search function to look through old threads. And what if they have a follow-up question?
