    Not the 2/1, seems like a hard hit is all. D is in the correct position, however.

    There is a 1942\1 that you can look at, but this looks different to me. Maybe some expert dime folks will chime in. May be pmd.

    looks like a 1942 D with some PMD. Not the 42/over 1

    Someone tried to chase the date to make it look like the overdate.

    They quit when they were unsuccessful.

    Unless you got it for less than melt you overpaid. It is just a silver coin with a mutilated date.
