Yesterday our hobby lost JT Stanton.

I just got off the phone with a co-worker of JT’s who confirmed the sad news. Apparently funeral arrangements are being set for Monday.
Cherrypickers Guide was co-authored by JT, and these guides have inspired and influenced generations of collectors and enthusiasts.
Since I first started in the coin hobby varieties have called to me. When I got my first CPG if was thrilled beyond description with all the possibilities to find. In a matter of months I had made contact and had several conversations with Mr Stanton about nickels and various other coins. Several coins from my Nickel registry came from or through JT’s hands and I would not have made it so far in the registry with his help and people around him.
My second cherished CPG copy came directly from JT, he autographed it on my birthday and sent it to me. These books are just a small part of the efforts and contributions JT has made in Numismatics. He is a hero of mine. He will be missed.
