Is your white balance off?
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
Double the Pleasure is the Broadstruck ...... giving me extra STARS
You meant my tan line?
I see you've changed the images in your first post. I am not concerned at all with any potential tan lines.

I switched to close up pic to 2nd post so I can show the label in the 1st
ANACS old holder

I DO love those old holders. That would have been a tough one to crack for me.
The slightly coppery color similar to the color of Krugerrands was probably from product preparation method:
Bead-blasted, wire brushed and then over-strike ..... Don told me once.
GONE is the IN GOD WE TRUST .... leaving a hint of ghosting
Dan's strong hands did it for me
..... but now I thought should've keep is for the ANACS history sake

Oh well
This is a "who cares" moment. You just added much more of a future premium than that holder.. including the surcharge cost paid for his service
Plus, it wasn't even the early ANA version
I this the only D carr example that shows a double strike in this series and mintage. Unique or are there similar?
@ErrorsOnCoins

I like to see what others look like ..... the only similar ghosting strikes are these 1934 O/S in slightly different hues

My photographic skill is
Oh OK .....
Very nice. The coin as well.
Hoard the keys.
Cool!
My YouTube Channel
nice job doing that one
Thanks to @dcarr
What, no D on the 27?
Nice piece... I like the winged design.... Cheers, RickO
I like Dan. I'd vote for him. ( Of course, he's not a politician )

I think Dan added 'D' on his Winged Liberty
You got a fast turn-around from Dan. Looking good.
I'm thinking about sending another one; 1908 without MOTTO and have a clean over strike reverse
Never mind - not worth the electrons to say.
That's a shame.

I take ..... you don't like the tampering?
The 1911-D I used was graded by PCGS as CLEANED MS DETAILS.
I figure I saved it from the melting pot.
Does your over-strike look more like Bullsitter's above in your hand? If so I think your white balance is giving a distorted coppery color rather than the gold color in Bullsitters photo.
Same suggestion from @TomB ...... but how do I balance it using iPhone?
Normally when setting white balance you point the camera to a white or 50% gray target then hit the manual white balance button. This will compensate for lighting conditions regardless of light source.
