    Will antifa be there?

I've been to Portland more than a few times, mostly for basketball stuff for my kid, but have been to the PNNA show a few years back.

Honestly....I avoid Portland now, all I can, just like I avoid downtown seattle. Tired of the "protests of the day", the lack of civilized police responses when needed, and the climate of antifa and others.

Have a good show though, just be careful down there. Too many homeless and outdoor drug users...make sure your stuff is safe/secure and YOU don't look like a mark when you step outside.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

I love this show and will be there as usual. However, since it is on the heals of the Baltimore show, I will fly from Portland directly to Baltimore and won't have time to put together a Portland show report, but will definitely do one for Baltimore.

Would like to drive down there but don't have the time.

As for Antifa, etc. I wouldn't worry unless some political event is already planned. I work in downtown Seattle, and we don't see much of this. Although the city is now ran by communists, they take their money and orders from their globalist masters.

This area of Portland is not a popular place for protests, so no worries. come on out and enjoy the day, buy a coin or two, or just learn about coins! Admission is cheap. Your freedoms will be intact here.

Seattle has its problems too....tourists getting assaulted around the space needle, cars broken into in broad daylight/public parking spots, drug needles and drug dealings everywhere. Tent cities at every exit. I worked downtown seattle for a few years, recently.....would get out of my car in the parking garage and start gagging from the smell of urine, and worse.
Friend of mine works at Amazon and they have a 6+ month waiting list for Amazon controlled parking....in the meantime, she said she learned NOT to park at the ends of the aisles or near the edges, as that is where the druggies would lurk...not only to break into vehicles but also to stay warm with the vehicle heat after it is first parked....said she would come back to her car and find drug needles by her door, when they weren't there when she parked.

I'm not scared to go out when I want, but I also don't feel the need to visit places this stuff is allowed to happen.

    Hey Bochiman:

I don't dispute anything you say. My point was that I'm right in the CBD, which they keep under control out of necessity.

    Bochiman is a chicken. :D

Anyone else brave enough to venture outside in the city? The weather is perfect here this weekend!

Sad to say I will miss it this year. Over the years I have found some of my best coins in Portland - at this show or when the ANA comes around. And we usually do a bunch of other shopping, too - saves us almost 10% in sales tax.

I'll be there and would be excited to meet any of you forum members. The weather here has been as perfect as you can ask for at this time of the year.

The Antifa people typically prefer the downtown area and the show site is across the river from all of that. What you do have to watch out for are the electric scooters that have become quite the nuisance around here. The riders don't seem to pay much attention to others while riding them and they just zip along. They could make good getaway vehicles so secure your belongings while walking with them.
