I was pretty excited to add this classic beauty to my inventory last week.

It is an 1806 Pointed 6 with 8x5 Stars. PCGS estimates 200 survivors in all grades out of an original mintage of 9676 pcs.

    WOW. That's a stunner.

I'm going to be the first to jump in and say NOICE!

Edit: Just realized as a bonus you have a cool older holder as well. I think they display better. Great looking coin.

Thank you for the kind comments ms70. I am no expert on PCGS holders, but I believe this one spans c. 1999-2002.

Nice piece to add to inventory. It'd be nicer to add to collection. But either way.... it's nice.

Very nice coin indeed - well done! The "Pointed 6 / 8X5 Stars" is much tougher than the "Rounded 6 / 7X6 Stars" variety.

    Got Crust....y gold?

I spose I should get one too.
I've had them and for some (smoe) reason sold them.
It would go between my $2.50 and $10. ;)

I remember when you had one in your inventory, topstuf, but do not recall the date. 1803/2?

    Very nice

I just noticed you are in Ashville, we spend time in the mountains outside of Hendersonville every year. I'll try to stop by your shop next time I'm there.

I love Western NC it is absolutely beautiful, and not to far from where the Bechtlers minted their gold.
