Even with those crappy photos, I can still tell the date is not 1890

The auction is showing the coin as a '90 CC

He's got four of them that look like that.

Why do people bid more than melt for stuff like that?

At least the seller got the “unreal eye appeal” part right! What a piece of junk. Ugh!

I'm pretty sure they are the same people who spend $50+/day on scratch-offs and lottery tickets.

    Origin:

This phrase is at least 460 years old. It was used by a poet named Thomas Tusser in a poem he wrote called Five Hundred Points of Good Husbandry, in the year 1557. While the wording is a bit different, the expression is still similar enough to the one that's used today:

"A foole and his money be soone at debate: which after with sorow repents him too late."

That’s just as crooked as can be, and it’s blatant. I agree with Ricko that someone is going to be in the hurt locker over this listing.

The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

The whole thing is bogus. I can't believe that there isn't a federal law enforcement agency that can interrupt this commerce because it crosses state lines. Peace Roy

There are a few sellers that use this technique to make it look like frosting on a cake.
If I had what I believed to be a 65 DMPL it would be slabbed. A 90CC in 65 DMPL is like a $14k coin plus or minus.
This guy has $hit coming outa his ears, anyone know him? Tell him I said that.
