I never would have noticed that without you pointing it out. I just googled Washington and the images do show a likeness. I always find it interesting how some of us see resemblances that others do not.

When Andy brings them to the jail after he'd manned the road-block, Don Knotts has a nervous breakdown when he sees the three of them together. Aunt Bea serves them all pie and Carroll's visa is not revoked. This is not the episode where Cleavon Little play a sheriff.

Google the video from "Ed Ames tomahawk", a Johnny Carson classic, and tell me Ed's prime head shot doesn't prove he's in BTW's gene pool. Remarkable; Ed Ames, Claude, Carroll, Andy - same gene pool or at least the same hair stylist. BTW's hair is different, but it brings the spurious facial similarities into even sharper focus. That is not Bill Cosby's nose. Nor does it bear any resemblance to that of Cleavon Little, who didn't play Barney's fellow sheriff's deputy in Mayberry .....
