Graded NGC MS64★. Took this image in the slab, then cracked it out to send off to our host for a TrueView. The reverse is blast white and both sides are lightly prooflike.

I don't think so. It has light pull-away toning on the lettering, which can't really be accurately reproduced artificially. Also look at the differences in color vs. the elevations of the devices - the reds and yellows mostly stay in the fields and on the lower points, for example - see the lettering in LIBERTY and the red "outlines" around the bust and the stars.

64, maybe 64PL, possibly 65. It's a very common date so the grade doesn't affect its value much.

It should straight grade, I have seen some similar to it. Unless they do not like the white streak.

I read in a thread today about this phenomenon, and it was eloquently referred to as
“elevational chromatics”
or something similar.Beautiful and succinct.

No picture of the reverse?? The reverse can affect the grade too... True, it is not the 'money' side, but it is part of the final grade. (Plus, I like blast white Eagles... ) Cheers, RickO

Didn't take a picture, sorry. I'll be sure to update the thread with a TrueView in a month or so though.

Y'all need to click on the video, the reverse is there (and blast white). I saw this one on Instagram (please skip the "what's Instagram?" blather) and it did look pretty stunning. I think it will straight grade 64PL too

I agree, 65PL at best. It's a technical 63+/64 that might get boosted for the color, and is borderline prooflike so I could see it going either way. Not planning on selling, but I'm always interested in hearing what people would offer / how people would value my coins nonetheless.
