Extreme corrosion on an unstruck planchette of some sort.

My guess would be chemical attack.

Yikes, never saw one before !!!
Corrosion certainly, almost as if it were kept on a car battery (as they did with cents years ago). It does look as if it had rims in the last picture....Cheers, RickO
looks like a corroded knockout for an electric panel..
That coin looks like a crime scene! I wonder if it was used to improve conductivity? Peace Roy

first ive seen of that
Corroded scrap metal.
Yes, corroded SCRAP metal. Possibly a round punch out from a metal electrical box, used in most construction (especially residential), very common. Unlikely to be numismatic in nature.
Not a planchet.

These are super rare and worth a lot!
Fortunately, I know a guy who might part with his for just a few hundred apiece. PM me.
Slightly used at a decent price.
Does a magnet stick to it?

I was told it came from the same place as this, that's the only reason I thought it may be numismatic be in nature. But punch out sounds like the best guess.
Checked it with a magnet and it stuck.
Now that is holder material send it in.. Just joking don't it's just junk.
