Got back some seriously nice looking washies in change whilst working in the great state of Ohio.

I recently returned back home from a construction job in Ohio. While I was there, I went to a Panera bread restaurant (respectively). I paid for my coffee and realized I had to wash clothes at the laundry mat and asked for 10$ in quarters. The girl (beautiful) working behind the counter informed me that she needed to get the managers approval before granting my wish. She walks to the back and comes back to the front in a nodding and agreeing fashion. I'm happy bc I know I'm about to get my quarters for my dirty laundry. She hands me the loose quarters out of the register and then proceeds to break open another roll. I politely stopped her and told her just to hand me the roll.....she complied. Now I'm not an expert but these quarters had to have been well kept....you decide and let me know what you guys think.

The rest of them are just as beautiful as these. I'm talking serious cart-wheeling action. Had to come out of an album, I'm thinking?

I see contact marks on most of them. Not unusual for someone to take in their keg of change to the bank. The resulting rolls of quarters will yield above average circulated coins that have been inactive for years. Shiny doesn't make them valuable.

Seems like they might have been sitting in the bank a while? It was fun looking through them. I didnt find any key dates or any errors.....believe me I looked long and hard. I appreciate your feed back. It helps more than you know

I dunno why, maybe I read too much of the Coinstar thread, but when opening this thread, i thought there would be some silver. ;):)

a lot of people were collecting state quarters, I sold a Georgia P mint sealed 4,000 quarter mint sewn bag several years ago for 1,500. now that the premium on most state quarters have been wiped out, collectors are putting them back in circulation

Soooo many teens, YNs and such saved them for their books. Quite a fad when it all started. Everyone had a US map with a quarter hole. I suspect that those got rolled and that's what you found. Probably all different. Nice fun find for sure. Glad you got them and not me!

The 88 is very nice. I cannot tell from the pics, but the others might have been someone's collection from circulation or something-nothing special but looking much better than average.
