Say something nice about the TPGS you use!
95% of what I read here about the TPGS's is negative. I guess it is human nature. Let's hear about some good things. It's probably best not to mention any Service by name (unless it is our host). 
I'll start.
We are lucky to have more than one TPGS so we can get additional opinions.

For what I sell, I have been converted on using TPG's to authenticate what the coin is.
For the longest time, I never sent out raw coins for certification.
I broke down and finally last February at Long Beach, I had 27 major mint errors certified between PCGS and NGC.
The results convinced me so much so that 3 weeks ago I went to Long Beach again and submitted another 48 major mint error coins to PCGS and NGC. Almost two grand in just plastic. Still waiting for their return.
I have sold or had graded almost all of my raw error coins now. I am moving to an inventory of about 90% major mint error certified coins from PCGS, NGC, and ANACS.

Several years ago I submitted several Morgan dollars to ANACS for grading to compare to what I thought they would grade. 1 of them was sent back to me graded as a vam error top 100 that I hadn't noticed or even knew about. They graded and attributed the error for the same price as my general submission of the items at the time. Was really appreciative of that.

The best thing I can say about the TPG I submit to is that PCGS' CoinFacts adds a really enjoyable dimension to the hobby for me.
I consider CoinFacts the Virtual Swiss Army Knife of numismatic tools.

I have lots to say about PCGS.
I like their grading, the holders look excellent, lots of great resources like coinfacts, photograde, etc.
Mostly it's these boards!4 -
If not for the talent of Phil Arnold and hisTrueView Photos, I would never have gotten back so heavily into coins. PCGS should give him a raise.

There are many, many, reasons that I prefer PCGS above the others. But one thing I think is important is this; PCG S doesn't use those ridiculous PRONGS to hold the coin in the slabs like they do ATS. For one thing the PRONGS obscure much of the coin. Especially on smaller coins. Another thing; I think over time, the area that the PRONGS cover will affect the coloration of the coin. No matter what anyone has to say about inert this, or inert that.
There is not 100% inert anything. How could there be? At least with the gasket that PCGS uses, the coin could at some point develop something like album toning that collectors now like and persue. Something for future generations of collectors to look for and appreactiate......PCG S slab toning. Might be a good thing. I don't like the PRONGS.

It's all the ancillary stuff that TPGs like PCGS give us.........this Forum, for example. Although I haven't given up on books by a long shot, I have sharpened my numismatic "eye" a whole lot by hanging around here.

Well, for a little bit of negative, there is mostly positive. AU and MS coins would be nearly impossible to purchase in the internet age with a TPG. Without them most of the MS coins purchased, would probably end up as AU's. Any MS coin purchased as 65 would be a 64 or 63.
Last but not least, marketability as vastly improved. When you go to sell, the grade on the holder is usually the grade of the coin and buyers trust that.

PCGS CoinFacts is AWESOME!! As a dealer I use it every single day for a quick look at recent APR's and pop reports. At shows, where time is key, the efficiency of CoinFacts is fantastic.
Also TPG's make our hobby much more safe & transparent for new (and experienced) collectors.2 -
The TPG's provide great services.... consensus grade, authentication, attribution, protective slab, ancillary services such as the forum, coinfacts, price guides and photographs. Grading services transformed coin collecting. Cheers, RickO

I like PCGS and always have for the following reasons:
These are my personal observations after submitting for 22 years....
They have stricter grading standards than the others.
Their search engines are way better than the others.
They are ahead of the curve in innovation, the others are imitators.
I can resell my PCGS coins at a higher price than the others.
Their online submission works better than the others.
They are more collector friendly then the others (i.e the first to have a "collectors club")
I get more CAC stickers with PCGS coins than the others.
Their forum boards are free and I have learned a lot here.There is more but thats why I like PCGS by far over the others...

Years ago I made the switch to PCGS and have never looked back. Wonderful holders, great imaging and tough grading standards....who could ask for more

TPG's are more trustworthy than dealers.
Dealers being somewhere between used car salesmen & televangelists.1 -
They grade ALMOST as strict as I do. lol

They authenticate, protect and market grade my coins. Since the grades are universally accepted, my coins become worth more.
Therefore, the grades are harder to dispute, so that dealers and other buyers have a harder time trying to take advantage of me.

Just this AM, checked a cert number where I had notified customer service (after sending the requisite email notification when I tried adding the coin to inventory). All good - coin is now in inventory. In all my near half dozen such interactions with PCGS customer service, their service has been fast and good.
