Is there any significance other than David Hall's signature?

They were minted to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of PCGS.
....but I don't have the feel for this particular coin to be honest with you just because of the typical corporate design
Do you have one and what you think about it? Is it made of silver?
It is worth keeping it as a novelty item?

Very timely. Thanks for sharing. The Steve Jobs/David Hall analogy becomes even more poignant.
I have 6 assorted 'David Hall' signed labeled coins I never thought of before
Please do not post any rumor nor personal opinion .... on his legendary career. Thank you.
Reminds me of a joke....David Hall, Steve Jobs, George Zimmer, and Papa John walk into a bar....
The Bartender yells "YOU 4 GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE"...
Turns out they co-owned the bar.
I kept it PG-13
It's late
No need to scream

LOL
still early here
"Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working" Pablo Picasso
Actually....it was not intended as a "out LOUD" shout .... but rather as a gesture for folks to SEE
Punch line may soon be "They all drove off in Teslas"
I don't get the joke nor the punch line
No, but I've thought about getting one. It is limited to 500 after all.
No.
You'd need to decide that for yourself.
Umm, I think you broke your own request by requesting this.

Just means you have a normal sense of humor and are a good person
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
I'd love to have one of those PCGS slabbed goodies.
Hello Paradise Found !
Such a generous giveaway ! Are you an Heiress to some Pineapple Fortune out there in Paradise? I'm really wondering how you can afford to be giving away so many things all the time? I guess you're just a giving person. I think maybe if we were all a bit more giving maybe we'd attract a few new people into the Coin Collecting Hobby? That might actually be a good thing but maybe if we could somehow recreate the booming economy we once had maybe things might more easily fall into place.
OK. Guess I have my new assignment for today. How do I help create a more booming economy that will put more wealth into the hands that need it the most? Not exactly an easy topic to ponder.
Excuse me while I try to get serious for a little while. 😘🤑😓
These are interesting, limited to just 500? Wow. Has a feel of a token. Ride the bus token. But having David's autograph is very cool.
I have a few of them,,,,,
https://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/collectors-showcase/2848
There is a silver version that was given to select PCGS Dealers,,,,,, the original ones I believe. The rest are plated.
not sure of composition of the coin but I have never been a fan of autographed items
I received one of these "dealer version medals", not a signed label, and thought that they were pretty neat. I don't think that they were silver...plated maybe. @GRANDAM, on the dealers version that you referred to, have the labels identified as being silver?

I don't know what the labels say,,,,,, never seen one. I just read somewhere there is a .999 Silver Version.
This is not the 1 of 500 signed label. A different one completely.
It should be sent to CAC.
I am not referring to the “Authorized Dealer” Label,,,, this was for the original 7 dealers.
It's an interesting item.

Thanks for the info.

Thank you PCGS

Good luck and have fun with your new assignment
It is all based on price. For the right price I'd love to have one of those - part of numismatic history. For the wrong price, I'd pass and buy some other numismatics.
I have no intention of parting with mine. I feel honored to have received one. You bet
Same here.

A total of 5,000 medals were made, 2,500 reserved for collectors in the United States and the remaining 2,500 set aside for overseas. They are 40 millimeters in diameter, weigh 27 grams and are .999 silver plated over bronze. From what I have heard there were 32 made in Silver for founding members/original authorized dealers of PCGS. Here are images of the different labels used and of the Silver.
This one is Exclusive for China, noted on the label. The slab also has a gold stamp lower left that says Bank

Thank you very much for the info
@Paradisefound ... I would keep it. It is a signed slab by a numismatic giant. While not a medal of value, the significance is in the industry history and a founding member. Cheers, RickO
