Counterfeits. NGC PCGS
We have new leadership at PCGS. Please take note that NGC counterfeit slabs rarely if ever show up anywhere for sale. PCGS slabs are widely faked in China and show up all over ebay, etsy and elsewhere.
My take is that NGC photographs every, no EVERY, coin they grade. There is a picture reference for buyers to check. Not just the cert verification check.
PCGS needs to implement this feature to help with the hobby and protect their own reputation. The snowball is small now but it's growing.
So, Mr. Orlando, do it, just do it. Run them all through the camera lens starting right now. Give us the power to destroy fake slabbers. If not, well you know what will happen. NGC will become the slabber of choice.

Enough of the established online auction houses and dealers are able to take outstanding high-res photographs, no reason the coins TPG undertaker couldn't do the same. Having said that, NGC's full slab photos are just terrible in regards to quality of their photograph.
Didn't say that NGC's photos are good or bad. At least they are there to look at and examine. Bad pics are far better than no pics.

Which is perfect, the point isn't to have glamour shots just ones to verify against that probably take NGC about 3 seconds per coin to shoot. Leave a huge difference in quality between the TrueViews and the purely for verification images to keep that as a money maker.
AMEN
Great points. Totally agree
I think it would be very nice if PCGS did this too. It's very nice to be able to go to NGC's website and search a cert number and see a photograph of the coin in the slab. We know it's not a great photograph, but it's generally enough to be confident the coin in the slab is the coin that is supposed to be in the slab.
Successful transactions with: wondercoin, Tetromibi, PerryHall, PlatinumDuck, JohnMaben/Pegasus Coin & Jewelry, CoinFlip, and coinlieutenant.
All you need is a decent picture. The top one is from NGC's website, the bottom one is seller's (from a thread last week) picture. It's not always so cut and dry, but the picture sure helps.
If we were all the same, the world would be an incredibly boring place.

Come on, PCGS. Get on board!
It may be something that PCGS might consider. JMHO !!!
Wow. Not what I expected from "NGC counterfeit slabs rarely if ever show up anywhere for sale."
@JeffersonFrog
Thanks for the link.
You are the leader, PCGS. Now show us why.

Anything the TPGs can add to the fight against counterfeit slabs is welcome...an embedded black light logo would also help. (Yes, I do carry a small, black light flashlight for other purposes). Cheers, RickO
