Open up a new account under a different email address and it might work. You just have to sign up for one of the free email services like google or yahoo. Make sure you sign up for eBay bucks on the new account and also check all the boxes in your site preferences .

I did find out something interesting on the last eBay buck promotion. I actually bought something during the promotion at the last minute but was going to wait till the next day to pay because I asked for combined shipping. I woke up the next day with a message from the seller that they would combine shipping saving me around $5 but I had lost out on the eBay bucks of around $10. So I guess with eBay bucks, you need to pay before the promotion ends? Or don't wait to combine shipping because you may lose out :'(

  • Yes, when the promotion ends...it ends. Good news is that another one will probably be coming soon.

You need to be a "steady" buyer in order to receive the promo. I've yet to receive one on my selling account, but on my buying account .. different scenario. Once again, I was invited.

That makes sense and I guess it depends on how 'steady' is defined.

No, it will not work. I tried that before. It did not show up on my ebay buck total. It did say you will get 10% on the check out but you will not get it after you pay.

When they say $500 ebay bucks max is that for this 48 hour promo or the full 90 days.
For example if my EBUCKS current amount is $499 would I be able to go above $500 if I buy a $1000 item ie would my ebucks go up to $599 for 90 day period . Is there a max amount of ebucks you can get in 90 days?

    Full 90 days.

A few weeks ago there was a promotion that ran from Wednesday to Friday. I made an offer on Thursday, but the seller did not accept the offer until Saturday morning. After I paid I called Ebay on Saturday and explained the situation. The rep was not able to add the amount to my ebay bucks balance that is going to be paid out at the beginning of October, but instead issued me a credit certificate for the difference, which was $66.00. Honestly I was surprised they did it, but it never hurts to ask.

I just called and they actually fixed it. Thanks for the advice.

This made me a very sad panda:

    THIS OFFER CAN'T BE ACTIVATED
You are not qualified for this offer.

Maybe I will try setting up another account.

If you became aware of this offer through the OP, a "Like" on his original post is a nice gesture. He has put at least $35 in eBay Bucks in my account recently and I'm very appreciative. The OP also helped me get at least $20 more in eBay Bucks during the second quarter of 2018.

OP's recent addition of a Link to the offer is also great!

There is a $44 plastic bs item on my watch list that it would just kill me to spend real money for. But I can use eBay Bucks on that in October and say "e-z come, e-z go!"

Thanks for the heads up!! With so many of these promo's happening, where's my incentive to buy anything in between the promotions? They seem to be happening so frequently, I wonder if it might actually be hurting their bottom line?

Nice, now that you spoofed the ebay page and got everyone's name and password....what do you plan to buy everyone? :):)

I took advantage of the other offer and netted $77.
Had to give up a little in Ebay bucks raising my bid, but I'll take the profit.
Thanks for the heads up on this one, I thought it was over.

Nice, thanks for the heads up AGAIN. Was about to make a few purchases but will wait until Monday now. Same as before valid on 1 account not on my other. Probably time to start thinking about a 3rd ebay account.

Thanks....qualified for this and the last few BUT only knew about it because I found out here. My default Ebay open page is "advanced search". I never start from the Ebay.com page

A couple of people here have said that they won auctions before the promo period began, but waited to pay when it started and got the Bucks...

  • OPAOPA Posts: 17,143 ✭✭✭✭✭

Dumb question: Does ebay include the s&h fees as part of the minimum requirement? hypothetical example on a $25 minimum requirement: i/e BIN for $22 + $3.00 in postage. Total paid $25.00

@OPA I'm 99% certain that the postage and handling fee DOES NOT get included in the minimum threshold for this kind of eBay Bucks offer.

    Not eligible

    Ebay:

    Won during an Earn Period (defined below) and paid for using the Eligible Participant's PayPal account using eBay's checkout system or a customized checkout system. Payments made directly via PayPal to a seller's account are not eligible;

Excludes sales tax, shipping charges, discounts, partial refunds, free items, items that fail to comply with applicable eBay terms and conditions, past purchases, and non-shipped, undeliverable or returned items

Above states "won during the Earn period"...doesn't mention that the payment has to be made during that time. I would think that would read "won AND paid for during the earning period"

    ..and.."excludes shipping charges"

save the OP's link. It will work in the future for a bonus bucks heads up, but you will have to change the date in the URL and search by each upcoming date.

No. from the ebay bucks rewards program rules:

"Excludes sales tax, shipping charges, discounts, partial refunds, free items, items that fail to comply with applicable eBay terms and conditions, past purchases, and non-shipped, undeliverable or returned items."
