I received my 5th star today...

StoogeStooge Posts: 4,673 ✭✭✭✭✭

I finally received my 5th star today and I'm excited. It is also my dog Toby's 9th B-day today. In celebrating, here are a few of my favorite Roosies. Celebrate with me and lets see some of your favorites.

Later, Paul.

Stars are based on "points" which can be seen on your profile page. I am guessing you get 5-stars at 1,000 points since Stooge has 1,007.

I was actually on late last night and posted on the Hansen thread. JB from DLRC dropped me a "Like" and I received my 1,000 point giving me the 5th star.

I've heard 4 gets a toner from @ricko so 5, has to get something even rarer if that exists.

Is there a reason.......why you'd want one? Once everyone gets to 5 what will we see next? PLUSES? :D

Like Joe, I've never been without a dog during my entire 70 year life and I love 'em, too, so I'd also like to wish Toby a happy birthday. Below is my contribution of three of my dogs and a nice variety on a 1948 Roosie-a doubled die reverse. You might say three dogs and a dime.

I have that same dime in a MS66FB. Very difficult variety.

My Dad had a zippered green plastic Marine Corps satchel full of wheats he pulled from his 20 years working at a Safeway grocery store. One day he said I should go through them. Was 80 some rolls. The 1911 came out of the pile like that. I always liked it for how slick it is.

I saved sone cool ones like this and we sold all the rest. My BM had a guy paying 5 c each for as many as he could buy. He let me piggy back one deal and I bought a Mexican 10 peso with the money. Dad agreed that’s way easier to look after than all those rolls.

Indeed it is. Mine is a 65 FB. I used to have a VEDS example but traded it away.
