NEWPS Bad to the bones

I can go months without adding anything to the macabre themed set. It’s been raining skulls and bones lately. These two have ties the Masonic & Freemason Lodges which adds to the allure for me.
1682 Germany Freemason membership medal
The reverse is not as interesting as the obverse ; )
1795 France. Color, skeletons and lots of symbolism depicting Kings Solomon and David. Lodge of Perfect Equality in Rouen.

Wow
I like it, but I am too old to be comfortable with that stuff in my collection.
+1

OMG, amazing !!!
Killers!
I like 'em!!
You are building an awesome, and fun, collection
Congrats on the newps! The French skeletons medal is especially exquisite
This is what I like about collecting coins and medals. When you think you’ve seen them all something new is around the corner. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you and thanks all. While it’s not my main focus it’s morphed into a project I’m having an ABSOLUTE blast with. I might actually take these to the grave with me

Wow - now those are cool!
Glad you're having fun. It's such a neat theme.
How morbid would it be to to cap off your collection with your own grave medal?
Pumpkin pie?
But too small and just doesn't taste the same....
Those are cool as can be...…..
Unique and different for sure
I like them both but I especially dig the French medal. It has great quality and eye appeal.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

Very cool bad...
Very neat medals....and I would buy those if I saw them... Neat project you have going...Cheers, RickO
Just like your last thread I have the same question. 1682? How does that survive in that condition? Amazing and cool.
Mark, your Morbidity Collection would make a great exhibit collection at the ANA........especially if you were appropriately dressed as an undertaker who can claim to have recovered these pieces from previous dead owner's graves.
OINK
Are these coins haunted?
Check out the back side of your dollar bills...
I like the way you collect; not all tooty-snooty. A themed collected is so fun to build.
Edited to add....I bet there are some Goetz medals that would look good in your collection
I like 'em, especially number two.
I have to admit...Cool coins JCM!
The one you have posted before of a skull on a table is memorable. Have a pic handy if that one for ol times sake?
Bad to the Bones are really neat

Thats the one! Thanks @Justacommeman. I remembered this one pretty vividly, or so I thought. I totally forgot about the butterfly on the design and that's quite a powerful statement juxtaposed on the piece.
These images fascinate me. The fact that they are sculpted and struck on tiny disks of medal fascinates me. Skulls remind me that we're only here for a little while and to make the best of our time.
Someday, like others have said, either in photos or at a show or something, it would be great to see the the whole run of the collection. It's getting a lot of variety and traction at this point.
Yes it would be a very cool display at an ANA or FUN show. Thanks for sharing.
