1914 Matte Proof Lincoln Diagnostics Thread

The seventh coin in the Matte Proof Lincoln Set is the 1914. With a mintage of 1,365, this begins the years of the scarcer pieces, though not nearly as scarce as the 1915 and 1916. "Counterfeit Detection: A Reprint from The Numismatist" states that 1914 Matte Proofs are "Usually deep matte surface, sharply struck".
PCGS Population Reports show that they have certified 270 coins and NGC has certified 147 bringing the total between the two to 417.

The 1909-1916 Matte Proof Lincolns are known for their very sharp strikes and amazing detail. Many people refer to MPLs as "the way Lincoln was supposed to look". The coins were stuck twice at low speed and high pressure. The coins have sharp, squared off rims, and usually a dull, matte finish. These coins are often heavy with die polish lines, which act as die markers to help in distinguishing a Business Strike from a Matte Proof.
The diagnostics for the 1914 Matte Proofs are as follows:
1) Heavy Die polish lines under Lincolns chin (Thanks to Brian Wagner for use of the photo)

2) Die chip above the first 1 in date

3) Die polish lines above "WE" in In God We Trust

4) Die Polish lines around LIBERTY including a line from R to Y.

I don't see any of the diagnostics, although not the best photo.
Since you have the coin in hand, do you see any of the diagnostics?
All comments reflect the opinion of the author, even when irrefutably accurate.
I would say no. COOL OLD THREAD ALERT!

There was only a single pair of dies used, and the die polish lines that extend from Lincolns chin to his coat denote a later die state specimen.

So, to state the obvious -most 1914 MPLs will not have this die marker? But if they do, it is definitely an MPL?
Wow! Blast from the past!
