I prefer the PAN show. I lived in the area when the current camp show promoter split from PAN. Nearly all of the members of my local club refused to attend camp, with some even making it a point to tell dealers why they didn't go. There has been a lot of water under the bridge since I left Western PA and I have no idea if local collectors have the same opinion, but if I was still there, I would save my money and make my purchases from dealers at the PAN show this weekend. Just my opinion.

I was set up at the camp show.
Friday was very busy with alot of customers coming in the door. Saturday was a little bit slower but still saw quite a few sales at my table. Sunday was completely dead. But honestly it was raining so hard that I wouldn't have gone to a coin show to shop either. Lots of talk about silver and gold prices. Of course lots of stories about coins and stuff that happened at the ana. Alot of the customers I had said they would likely either go to Gettysburg next weekend or just not go to a show at all.

I hate getting into the politics of the coin business but i will say this. The politics of the camp coin show have had there ups and downs inthe past. But I have been doing the show for 5 years and have never had an issue with either john or kathy. They run a nice show that's very well organized.

But anyway. I heard alot of sales for eagles and prices around 17.50 to 18 bucks each. Not much gold seemed to be going. I had alot of customers asking for 90 percent silver and believe it or not alot of people asking for 40 percent silver. A few dealers were selling generic silver bars and rounds for 15 to 15.50. Mid grade type better dates were also pretty hot at alot of tables and of course morgans were trading pretty heavy.

I hope the dealers and collectors who attend the pan show or Gettysburg show have a great show and have alot of positive moments. Watch the weather as it might get nasty. Stay safe and have a nice time!
