Cool piece! Almost looks like a spotlight shining on the eagle.
Do we know who W. McCormick was?

Not sure what happened on the reverse, but I like counter stamped pieces.
Very nice.
Cool looking
I would have gone for it, good pick up

Nice pickup. Like the font, the serifs are bold and the underlined c is cool. I seem to recall a manufacturer in the Midwest that made farm equipment. Peace Roy

Willoughby McCormick of spice/herb fame?
Nice piece.... Although I know many collect counterstamps - and some are interesting for historical purposes - it seems a shame such a nice old coin such as this one has been stamped. This is JMO... and to be sure, I would still like to have it in my collection. Cheers, RickO
Interesting counterstamp, I like it !!!
Very nice piece!
