How long did the sell out take?

GRANDAMGRANDAM Posts: 8,785 ✭✭✭✭✭

I have looked for a thread on this topic but don't see one ,,,,,,,,, so how long did the sell out take?

My son and I both got orders in, in the first minutes but there is 6,543 orders between us.

We both are confirmed and our credit cards have been pinged.

Will they ship tomorrow?

GrandAm :)

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

I believe it was UNAVAILABLE at the 4.5 minute mark. That's 270 seconds. The mint was selling them at about fifty five coins per second. The site was definitely being choked and despite long pauses and frozen screens, the sales chugged along processing the first 15000. I was logged in at noon, dropped the coin into my cart, went through the payment pages, and had the purchase in around 90 seconds. There wasn't much time for any mistakes or refreshing key strokes. Congrats to all the successful collectors that picked one up, sorry if your connection failed you.

Wow... surprised the site did not crash... they must have really upgraded their system to handle a load like that..... Congratulations to the successful members... Cheers, RickO

I'd say the flip went before the flop and the sell out began before shipping. Funny and stranger things happen.

I would have to say around 5 minutes. Cheers to the new fulfillment company for using adaptive servers that moderate high demand system clogging. Congratulations to their same day or next day shipping on these high demand mint products. And thank you to the mint for following their customers requests for updated processes and fulfillment.

I just got my Coin World and saw this quote and was going to recognize Onastone as being FAMOUS for being quoted in Coin World but I see that Paradise was quicker on the draw than I was, :s

I never thought I'd be quoted, I didn't even realize those writers read what we have to say! :)

Coin dealer in Bozeman said it was over in 15 seconds. I have no idea as I was not in the bidding.
