This absurd story is so outlandish and clearly a fraud but what do we flag it under to get it removed?

    Did ebay take the corn flake that was the exact shape of Illinois down? no.

    Good luck getting these removed. There are dozens on any given day and some have similar stories. None get removed. Ebay allowed scam.

    Kind of makes it either less likely to be a fraud...or it's literally a setup.

    If I'm running a simple fake coin scam, I don't want to meet you in person.

    I agree local pickup could be a settup or maybe this a smart crook and he doesn't want to use the US mail while committing fraud. I bet be is going to offer a lower price if the buyer pays cash in an off eBay deal.

    He can just plead ignorance.

    I say robbery is possible but I say most likely a mixture of

    1) Local pickup only will make him seem more legitimate to some "Oh it can't be fake because the guy will meet in person!"

    2) No way track it back to him in mail.
