To add, I bought this as a raw coin from one of the major EAC dealers, and submitted, and came back genny -
I didn't buy it as a genny.
I do have a few other large cents that were purchased in genny slabs though, just no pics.
Not mine anymore, failed to meet reserve ($290K) for the new owner at the 2018 Philly ANA

I am thinking it may straight grade if I cracked and resubmitted. What do you all think? The flaw is not distracting, at least to my eye, and it's a pretty common occurrence on early dollars anyways, right?

I seem to recall seeing that coin. Did you post it here earlier?

I do not have any slabbed.... but sure do have a few that wandered into my collection over the years...Cheers, RickO
I own no genunie slabs, and I would never buy one.
Stay away from problems.
It's minute, it's there (scuff mark, obverse), it's still pretty.
If we were all the same, the world would be an incredibly boring place.

Sold a few weeks ago.
A little damage,
And a bit of cleaning
And glad to have 'em: most collectors on a budget will go without the types rather than compromise on Quality.

Here’s another.....the N2 is much tougher than the N1 overdate, IMO, and neither are all that easy or inexpensive to acquire in pristine condition.

Not necessarily, but it’s probably the reason this one didn’t straight grade.
Now cracked.
