Is it too early to plan for the MSNS Show in November 2018???

Is it too early to start planning for Thanksgiving Weekend and a trip to the Michigan State Numismatic Society Coin Show???
It has been perhaps 10 years since I attended this show and that is 10 years too long to have been away. Things have changed, I'm sure, and the location is different but it was always a "feel good" weekend that left me happy. Here's what I remember:
100+ tables.
major, well known dealers.
1-2 TPG's in attendance.
Saturday evening auction.
well attended, busy floor.
many forum members.
In the past it was held in the Hyatt and lodging was easy, almost like a community within itself with rooms, bars, food, the show, the auction and more meaning you never really had to leave the building. On top of that, one of our own members was Bourse Chairman and he took care of every little detail. Things were always busy but relaxed and it was easy to leave the excitement for a pause.
I know that I'm planning to go for both Friday and Saturday, already making sure things will covered at work and happy at home in my absence. I thought it would be nice to have a thread where anyone who is going, both as a Show Dealer and collector/dealer walking the floor, could stay in touch and get information. Past that I hope for a chance to sit down together somewhere on Friday evening for a forum member dinner.
So if you have information about the show please post it. If you'll be there as a dealer, let us know your table number. If having dinner on Friday is something you'd like to do please post and we can make some kind of arrangements. These things are always fun!!

Sorry, I didn't see your link.
That sounds like a really nice show...Show reports with pictures please...
Cheers, RickO
It used to be great. I used to go religiously when it held at the Hyatt ( my first honeymoon night was there). After they moved the first couple of shows were less then stellar. I haven't been in a few years. Maybe it's improved.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Coin auctions are a thing of the past at MSNS.
ttt for anyone who may have missed it. who's going and does the post by StoneyPoint mean no auction this year?? Craig Whitford used to have a really god one in years passed.
MSNS hasn`t had an auction in years, the last one I can remember was put on by Silvertown.
Steve Davis took over the auction company from Craig Whitford and has two auctions a year always in Lansing. He sometimes brings the auction lots to the fall show to view.
They still have good auctions, but I think it got too expensive to put on at the show.
The show isn't what it used to be. The Hyatt location was so much better with good lighting and carpeted floors. It seems to have become more and more of a three day Sunday bourse on steriods ... many dealers but few from very far away.
There are plenty of motels on Van Dyke Avenue (about 2-3 miles west of the show location) between 13 and 15 mile roads (the show is located off of 12 mile road) in Warren or Sterling Heights.
The auction is gone, as others have noted, and the prize raffle (which had very good prizes) is also long gone.
Only a 2 1/2 hour drive from home. I'm there. Thanks!
